Saxon Metzger brings more than a decade of experience delivering capital intensive projects on time and on budget. His background includes leading Project Development and Project Management teams on solar and storage work from California to North Carolina, and founding Eighth Generation Consulting, a sustainability and project management practice serving the renewables industry.
He has been recognized as a Grid Alternatives Tribal Energy Innovator, an MIT Solver, and a member of the ACORE Accelerate 2026 cohort. As Founding Chair of the Energy Institute US Global Community, his work on energy economics has been presented in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. He teaches economics and business at NYU and Wilmington University.
Chief Technology Officer
MBA, CISSP, CISA
Wes Ladd brings over a decade of experience in governance, risk, and compliance for Fortune 100 clients across financial services, energy, and healthcare, including advisory roles at Ernst & Young and RSM US LLP. He holds CISSP and CISA certifications and an MBA with an internal audit specialization, and is co-author of Practical AI for Professionals (CRC Press, August 2026).
On the technical side, he built Lumigrid, the DOE award-winning project behind our computer vision, 3D reconstruction, and hardware work, with a background spanning PCB development and precision machining. He previously taught internal auditing and cybersecurity risk management at LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business, and presents regularly for the IIA, ISACA, PMI, and the MLOps Community.
